Trend - Jelly Shoes!!!

Jelly shoes were around when I was a child (3-4 years old?). I remember they were the ones that looked "strappy", with half inch heel and a buckle. I think I had the clear color one, look to the left!!! AHHHHH  Haha Don't ask how I remember this.

Well, I never thought of it as a trend and I believe it died out once I started elementary school. Now I see it back but not in the same way as how I remembered it.  Wells, except the fashion forward TOPSHOP store, other brands are playing it safe with the current flats and colorful trend~

It looks great for rainy days (not thunderstorm) or play in the sprinklers, especially since your shoes will dry quicker and so will your feet.   Keep in mind to make sure the sole is non-slip if you want to wear it for wet play/days.  :-)

Every time I see them in stores its looking cuter and cuter. Here's one by Missoni, looks like candy?   I'm Loving IT!!  I think it might also be the wonderful colors that I'm seeing them in.  A good brand that makes these really cute is MEL by Melissa. I've included some of her shoes in my selections.

Looks like a good knock off of the Valentino version below. LOve it~

<------ I HEART YOU

Cute studs~

Like the design but maybe another color butterfly?

LOVE THIS ONE!!!!

I put this in because it looks funny. Not sure if I'll be up for this. Looks like it's made of wax?  Maybe I'll like it more if it was in pink or nude.

the Shoe Stretcher.. my savior~

Don't you hate it when you just bought a pair of the cutest shoes, but when you actually wear it for a couple of hours, your feet hurts? Don't you hate having to break them in! :-) So last year, my sister had the greatest idea of investing in one of those shoe stretchers. Greatest idea ever!! Now why haven't we thought of that earlier!!

So I got the women's shoe stretcher size 5-8 in the mail and quickly tried it on this pair of shoes that I got for a year and still haven't broken into. I left it in there for 3 days and stretched it to the max (subjective to your needs). I only had problems with the right foot (maybe my right foot is bigger? or is it the shoe? ) I had problems around the big toe area and they have little knobs to insert into different holes around the wooden shoe stretcher for areas that needs an extra stretch (see picture). After 3 days, I tried the shoes it was slightly loose. uh oh? No worries! After you let it sit for a couple of hours it goes back a little.

Some of my shoes needs to be stretched a couple of times or periodically and some were perfect after the first stretch. I guess some materials are harder or more stubborn to stretch?

The shoe stretcher is necessity in any shoe lover's closets. Don't let those expensive pair go to waste!!! It was my shoe savior~

With this type of shoe stretcher, you can stretch the width, the length and particular area/s of needs (black knob).  It worked best with my flats, sneakers, sandals and basically any flat or medium heel (I'm guessing up to 3 inches?) shoes; see red and gold shoes.  As for my high heels, it only stretched the width because I couldn't get it in the arch to stretch the length; see the taupe bootie below(see back heel piece couldn't go in!) I'm guessing shoe stretchers may work better on high heels if the shoe is in a bigger size, as my shoes are all size 6.

I got mine from Amazon in the link below with free shipping~

Here's a guilty pleasure~ :-P

Loafer trend

What do you guys think about the loafers? I see them showing up more in stores. I'm thinking of getting a pair for myself, but I can't help thinking of my grandmother when I try them on at the stores. Not a bad thing, but nostalgia kicks in and I begin to really miss her(she's in Asia).  I can't help thinking about how fashionable my grandmother may be in the old days. :-) Anyways, as I was shoe shopping at Macy's the other day, I find myself walking closer and closer into the mature women's section, in search of a cute loafer. HAHA. My friend couldn't find me after a while.

They are comfort shoes and I'm glad the popularity of comfort shoes is on the rise within the young and fashionable group, as it is hard to walk around with 5 inch heels or flats with no support.  YAY to comfort shoes!!

Here are my favorites!

Cute AK Ann Klein loafer. I love the color and the bow!!

This one really reminds me of my grandmother. I can't help but loving this pair!!!!

This one you guys probably seen around. I like it, but for some reason it's not that comfy and it hurts my bones. Maybe it's not made for my feet?

This one really appeals to me. I think it's because it's pointed.

Reminder, Macy's shoe sale is ending today.
1 pair 15% off
2 pairs 20% off
3 pairs+ 30% off

Here are some loafers at Macy's website. I don't think they have much selection online.  Please go to the stores for more selection.  Also note, stores close early on Sundays.

More loafers at Macy's...

RED

Red is the new Black.  I see shots of color in stores this fall and RED seems to be the IT color.  And I'm loving the red skirts, red belts, red pants, red SHOES and red dresses.

Here is a look at a few items I'm loving in tones of red~

This dress takes the bondage sexiness, simple easy to wear, partial backless and finally REDish tone into a whole new level. At a price of $24.80.

Red pants!!! I'm kinda tired of neutral, tonal jeans, or grayish pants.  Last season was neutrals, nudes and everyone has a khaki or beige pants. It's time for some brights.  This red pants gives a nice kick to the outfit~ The rise is pretty high so it gives a good support for the tushie and stomach.  Pants last a lifetime so dishing out $34.95 is well worth it.

Nine West Red peep toe wedge~
I like these types of peep toe wedges.  They show off my manicured toes and they are easy to walk around to work and around work.  I wear this with jeans and tee shirt. It's simple and yet classy.  I look everywhere and only found them at DSW.  This are from Nine West and called Peggfo in Poppy Red for $59.95.

You can see I haven't mentioned red shirts. So far I'm not digging red shirts or tops, at least I haven't found one that I like. So if I do, I'll post it up.  Also, I greatly suggest not wearing too much red in one outfit, it can be blinding and over the edge.  So all in all, less is more and giving your outfit with shots of reddish tones is the way to go~ But I don't predict red being out of hand in the spring, unlike like pieces of lace became everything lace now. :-) I heart lace tho. keke
