Trend - Jelly Shoes!!!

Jelly shoes were around when I was a child (3-4 years old?). I remember they were the ones that looked "strappy", with half inch heel and a buckle. I think I had the clear color one, look to the left!!! AHHHHH  Haha Don't ask how I remember this.

Well, I never thought of it as a trend and I believe it died out once I started elementary school. Now I see it back but not in the same way as how I remembered it.  Wells, except the fashion forward TOPSHOP store, other brands are playing it safe with the current flats and colorful trend~

It looks great for rainy days (not thunderstorm) or play in the sprinklers, especially since your shoes will dry quicker and so will your feet.   Keep in mind to make sure the sole is non-slip if you want to wear it for wet play/days.  :-)

Every time I see them in stores its looking cuter and cuter. Here's one by Missoni, looks like candy?   I'm Loving IT!!  I think it might also be the wonderful colors that I'm seeing them in.  A good brand that makes these really cute is MEL by Melissa. I've included some of her shoes in my selections.

Looks like a good knock off of the Valentino version below. LOve it~

The intricacy of the bow~

<------ I HEART YOU

Cute studs~

Like the design but maybe another color butterfly?

LOVE THIS ONE!!!!

I put this in because it looks funny. Not sure if I'll be up for this. Looks like it's made of wax?  Maybe I'll like it more if it was in pink or nude.

Men's Chambray Trend!

The Chambray utility look is back!! It is inspired by the early to mid 1900s of the working class men.  I am seeing many Chambray shirts in the market for men's this spring and coming summer.  I like the rugged look that makes the men of all shapes and
sizes look like labor-men, similar to how these shirts, known for its durability, came to be.  The top image is by Polo Ralph Lauren.  The comparable and affordable alternative is, to the left, by J Crew.

(Please note, Chambray is not the same as denim. Denim is in a twill weave while Chambray is in plain weave.  They look similar due to their similar washing techniques.)

Also I noticed nice Chambray linen shorts!!

****Please do not wear the chambray shirt with a chambray shorts.****

High-Low Silhouette

Hi-Lo~ I went from flowing tops to the silhouette that looks like my hair being blown. haha. I meant the hi-lo trend.  I really like the subtle versions of the hi-lo silhouette.  (It literally looks like my hair in 1 piece laying on my back and when there's wind or when I walk, the tail/hair part acts like a cape. Okay too much imagination ) Currently I'm just shopping around for this trend. Got several pieces already!  Hi-lo tops are great with leggings, cropped pants, skinny jeans, so basically anything tight fitting on the bottom. If it is a dress you can wear them with pretty much any summery shoes. I prefer sandal wedges or flat strappy sandals.  Here's a picture of one of my hi-lo tops.   I got this piece from Century 21 Department store around my area. It is by Willow & Clay.

(Yes I need to clean out the back of my door. :-\ )

Bright Color Pants

I am loving bright colored pants! Couple of weeks ago I got a pair of bright blue pants perfect for work. As you saw in the Job Interview post, I am wearing them! I find bright blue easier to pull off than bright red. But I know down the line I will eventually get suckered into buying a bright red pants.  Currently, I am shopping around for a pair of bright yellow pants. It might still be a bit soon to wear such a light color pant as the weather in New York is still randomly cold.  The colors on my list are yellow, coral (crazy for coral this season!!!) and purple.  WOW they are all warm colors. The reason I am not interested in turquoise or green is because they remind me of scrubs, but it really depend on the types of turquoise or green.   Here's a recap of that phone photo I took of my bright blue pants. (got lots of compliments from it!!)
